RATING

- Crispy and crunchy skin: 4/5 - the skin was crunchy and fun to bite into

- Flavor of skin: 3.5/5 - 4 for the spicy and 3 for the regular (which was quite bland)

- Flavor of chicken: 3.5/5 - again, the spicy was quite good (although not very spicy) but the regular flavor was quite bland (could hardly even taste any salt)

- Lack of grease: 3/5 - quite oily (had to drink tea afterwards to get rid of that oily feeling)

- Tender: 4/5 - we only got dark meat so we can't comment on their white meat but what we got was juicy and tender

TOTAL: 3.6/5 - HiFive is open 24/7 so if you're in the mood for fried chicken at 3am, it's worth checking out. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't go back for a Friday night dinner.

Notes:

- The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly.

- The potato wedges are very tasty. A large was too much for the 2 of us; medium probably would've been ok.

- The hot and spicy sauce is very spicy - perfect if you want to punish yourself!

- The restaurant smells oily. You don't notice it very much when you walk in but after a few minutes, you can definitely smell it.

- There was a steady stream of customers for take-out.

- The music was at a reasonable volume (low enough that you could comfortably have a conversation)

- A little pricey compared to other chains.
