Total cost: $13.5 [Note: we went during happy hour - regular price is $16.5. We also ordered other items but this review is only for the chicken tenders]
RATING
- Crispy and crunchy skin: 4/5 - nice crunchy breading
- Flavor of skin: 3/5 - bland but not terrible
- Flavor of chicken: 3/5 - again, bland but not terrible (the dipping sauces help!)
- Lack of grease: 5/5 - not oily at all
- Tender: 5/5 - soft and tender
Total: 4/5 - Cactus Club chicken tenders are pretty good but not great. I think the ambiance and dipping sauces definitely help. We also got a quesadilla and dessert which helped enhance the experience.
Notes:
- Their garlic aioli is yummy. It's really flavorful without being overpowering.
- We usually hit up happy hour at Cactus Club once every 4-6 weeks. Their happy hour menu is quite extensive and it's not super crowded between 3-6pm. Beware though because as the evening progresses, it definitely gets a lot louder and you might see your server less as she gets busier.
